I have been meaning to stop by this bakery for a while now and I can’t believe it took me this long to finally visit! Tucked one block away from Whyte Avenue, La Boule Patisserie & Bakery offers artisanal bread and french pastries. They also serve coffee from ACE Coffee Roasters which is located in the same neighbourhood. It was packed when I went, but I managed to get a seat by pure luck! La Boule Patisserie & Bakery is open Tuesdays to Fridays at 9am-6pm / Saturdays at 8am-5pm / Sundays at 9am-5pm.

WHAT WE ORDERED:
We ordered a French Press which was a very good deal for the amount of coffee you get (about $8). I ordered a side of cream with mine! Jerome ordered a Paris-Brest which is a choux pastry filled with hazelnut croustillant and whipped hazelnut ganache, topped with caramelized sugar and toasted hazelnuts. I got myself a Chocolate Mousse Petite Gateau which is a chewy brownie base topped with dark chocolate mousse and a gooey dark chocolate center. The sweets were delicious especially paired with the french press! I recommend anyone visiting the Strathcona area to come here.
